Which model car are you working on? Essentially you would load the ABD onto the new module and change the one HEX half byte (really changing a bit, but you have to enter a new half byte) for navigation (which one may depend on the model). Certain models haven't shown the APIM in the configuration page but the team has been working with individuals to get all models working. I think that the as-built will need to be changed to match the hardware configuration in the new vehicle. I am looking at retro-fitting an MFT with nav already programmed into a different vehicle than it came originally from. So it would be very much appreciated if you could enlighten me on APIM as-built programming. I don't currently have hardware (yet) to try it on. I know that forscan recently added the ability to change as-built, but I haven't been able to figure out if it can change the APIM. I would like to ask again (my previous request is buried a few threads back), how does one program the as-built of the APIM? My understanding is that it cannot be programmed with IDS that that module is blocked by ford. To force an unsigned cab (total security hack), or set apim id on my vehicle to be a match to the one in the CAB would be 2 attack vectors i see right now. So perhaps signed with the ford cert and the APIM ID as the cert name/other cert field.

Quick test to replace with my APIM ID, install try, no luck. APIMID is not in the extracted files that i found in quick search. I can see the APIM ID in the CAB with hex editor, below Ford Motor Company Internal SYNCGEN2 Issuing CA cert at the end of cab.Įxtracted the CAB to all components.
